But "show me your habits and I'll show your future" could not be more true when it comes to fat loss Reader

​

​

Some things can be solved with one BIG burst of effort;

​

​

  • Finally folding that washing up and putting it away πŸ‘”
  • Getting your tax returns done πŸ“°
  • Getting that monthly report done at work πŸ“ˆ
  • Redecorating the house πŸ–Œ
  • Getting through that boring film your other half is making you watch without looking at TikTok videos πŸ“±

But anything genuinely life-changing can't be done in a few hours

​

​

  • Saving/investing for your future πŸ’Έ
  • Building a career πŸ’»
  • Learning a new essential skill (cooking, a new language) 🍳

All require months and years or repeating small habits, daily and weekly

​

​

And the same is true of permanent weight loss

​

​

The good news is that weight loss doesn't actually need a huge amount of acute effort

​

​

Within the course of a day, it's pretty easy

​

​

You just need to;

​

​

  • Make sure you eat the right amount of calories
  • Do the right amount of activity

​

​

The way you do this is by repeating tiny, boring habits;

​

​

  • Weighing yourself
  • Getting outside to do some steps
  • Weighing your food
  • Eating mostly high-fibre, high-protein foods
  • Avoiding takeaways

The hard part is, you need to do those things almost every day

​

For months

​

​

And this is why your habits determine your future πŸŒ€

Without those habits it's unlikely you'll lose weight

​

​

It won't happen if you make a huge effort to do something now and again

​

​

  • An occasional hard, sweaty workout
  • An occasional meal packed with lean protein and vegetables
  • Not drinking for a week

These are too extreme to be daily habits

​

​

Your daily habits can be much easier e.g.

​

​

  • Hit the gym twice a week and do a 30 minute walk every day πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ
  • Make sure every meal has some veg or fruit 🍏
  • Limit drinking to once every two weeks πŸΊπŸ“†

But if you're stop/start with them, it won't work

​

You HAVE to commit to it

​

​

Write a list if you have to πŸ“

Then your future success will take care of itself
