You Do You ๐Ÿ–

If you follow a bunch of these annoying fitness people like me, you'll probably notice they're all talking about Christmas ๐ŸŽ„

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

It's either;

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

a) Stick to your diet all through Christmas, have one slice of Turkey and a brussel sprout on Christmas Day. Make your family do press-ups before they open their presents

โ€‹

โ€‹

or

โ€‹

โ€‹

b) Go wild. The more chocolate you can cram into your mouth every day of December, the healthier your relationship with food will be. Live a little!

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

Neither approach is right or wrong

โ€‹

โ€‹

YOU get to decide how you want to do Christmas Reader, not some jumped-up influencer on Instagram with AI-generated photos and 50,000 followers they purchased from China

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

BUT

โ€‹

โ€‹

Your actions will always have consequences

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

If you're reading this email, you're probably looking to lose some fat at some point (either that or you just like laughing at my typos)

โ€‹

โ€‹

And if that's the case, you probably want to be a bit careful in December

โ€‹

โ€‹

Sure you've got;

โ€‹

โ€‹

  • Meetups with old friends ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
  • Work Xmas parties ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿบ
  • A team Xmas lunch ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ง
  • Christmas Eve ๐ŸŽ„
  • Christmas day ๐Ÿฆƒ
  • Boxing Day ๐ŸŽ
  • That bit between Christmas and New Year ๐Ÿ“†
  • New Years Eve ๐Ÿฅณ
  • The first week in January recovering from your hangover ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ•

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

All good.

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

But if you eat and drink whatever you feel like at all of these, January ain't gonna be pretty

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

If you go with option a) and just let your hair down, you could easily be 7 pounds (3kg) up between now and January

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

If you already want to lose 20 pounds, you've just added ANOTHER 7 pounds on top, which will make your overall weight-loss journey even longer (maybe by another 7 weeks)

โ€‹

โ€‹

โ€‹

If you just DON'T gain those extra 7 pounds you are starting from a much better place

โ€‹

โ€‹

So, it's not about all or nothing approach at Christmas

โ€‹

โ€‹

In fact, both are shit

โ€‹

โ€‹

You should probably aim to be somewhere in the middle

โ€‹

โ€‹

Enjoy 3 days of indulgence (Xmas Eve to Boxing Day) and make sure the rest of the month is pretty normal

โ€‹

โ€‹

And just aim to maintain your weight โš–

โ€‹

โ€‹

(It'll be so much easier to do this if you're weighing yourself daily)

โ€‹

โ€‹

It puts you in a very powerful position in January โœŠ

โ€‹

โ€‹

You can either be happy that you've enjoyed Christmas and gained zero weight

โ€‹

โ€‹

OR

โ€‹

โ€‹

If you do want to lose weight, you haven't added weeks and months onto your timeline in 2025

โ€‹

โ€‹

Or you could just eat like an idiot and gain 10 pounds

โ€‹

โ€‹

You do you.

Let me guess... You were going to 'get on it' in the new year But what do we always forget..? January is an abysmal month for weather At the moment it's so cold hurts to go outside Reader (I've been trying to psych myself up to go food shopping all day) ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I know, I know, you don't mind being in the gym It's fine when you're out walking and you've warmed up But it's the getting outside that's stopping you ๐Ÿฅถ There's also still the last of the Christmas leftovers that need eating Plus all that...

Almost all of us want to lose some weight Whether it's 20kg to transform your health or a couple of kilos just to squeeze into your summer wardrobe But there are always barriers One of the biggest barriers is tracking calories It's so important in the early stages of weight loss But it is time consuming It's easy to be inaccurate And it can be tricky when you're eating out The good news is, there is now an easier way And yes, it's using AI You might not know this, but you can ask Chat GPT to...

I was shocked when I stepped on the scales this morning 83kg ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Not the numbers I wanted to see staring back at me (I'm trying to maintain around 81kg at the moment) So I gained 2kg gained in 2 days But am I worried? Fuck no. I've been eating and drinking like an idiot Christmas Day and Boxing Day (I'm sure you have as well Reader) I probably have a ton of food still sitting my digestive system And I ate a lot of salt and carbs, which will have caused temporary water retention I can GUARANTEE...
